Curriculum

The curriculum at Noriter is play based, child initiated and is guided by the Victorian Early Years Learning Framework and National Quality Standards. We are inspired by the educational philosophy of Reggio Emilia where the children are to be seen capable, strong individuals who have their own unique way of being expressive. We value creativity, imagination, and curiosity. Therefore, children at Noriter are provided authentic art, music and movement program that encourage their creative process of exploration.

Noriter strives to provide an aesthetically beautiful environment with well- resourced indoor and outdoor settings that inspires teachers and children to work together as researchers. Our educators encourage children to think, to wonder, and to embrace uncertainty and doubt as the basis of constructing new meaning. Projects and investigations are captured from the language of children, their interests and what is happening around the children, for example, family or community events.

We acknowledge and respect the uniqueness and individuality of each child. Our program offers experiences to increase children’s awareness and appreciation of different cultures and to foster pride in the cultural heritage of both themselves and others.
